    CoWaBoo is an open, descriptive protocol facilitating the creation of social web applications. It aims to provide an educated step towards a learnable Social Semantic Web by revisiting fundamental internet activities such as search, classification, group formation and valorization of participation. We have a paper that provides with more details on how this happens.   

  • Collective observatories

    The "collective observatories" is our proof of concept application, illustrating how the protocol could work. After you sign up, you can browse through existing work stations which we call 'observatories'. You can find and edit observatories by searching for tags (keywords); or you can start a whole new observatory. Its primary goal is to enable group collaboration.

  • Graph to learn

    GraphtoLearn is a learning application  designed and implemented with CoWaBoo. It is used to search for learning content (courses - definitions) organised through tags. Users can add and edit existing content, while all the actions influence her reputation (Reputation P) as well as the reputation of the entries (Reputation E). A collaborative classification algorithm is used built on six distinct community rules.

  • Training activities, more apps

    The CoWaBoo protocol and applications provide us with a semantic and representational tool,  that is currently used during the spring semester in 2017 and 2018, within a targeted course in the Information Systems Department (HEG) of the University of Applied Sciences in Geneva (HESSO - HEG). Training activities involve reusing the protocol through its API and group use cases (2017, 2018).

  • The CoWaBoo API

    The CoWaBoo API is the open interface of the protocol with its users. It prescribes the construction of user driven applications by allowing users to experiment and develop applications on the CoWaBoo protocol. This process seeks to create a space where a user centered semantic construction becomes possible through the use of semantic ontologies, tags, observatories, entries, users and blockchain enabled accounts and transactions.

    This is our open call to communities of interest. The protocol is open to everyone interested in curating any type of information and transactions, with others. Our future focus is on exchange communities that want to store information or transactions in a collaborative and sustainable way.  We seek to create areas where people can organise and publish their information and transactions using a p2p storage network (IPFS) and a public blockchain infrastructure (Stellar).
